Drooms data rooms provide a very convenient and useful real-time translation feature supporting cross-national transactions and international portfolios.

For security and compliance reasons, the Drooms translation tool is our own proprietary solution, i.e., documents do not leave our system and servers and are not processed by 3^rd party suppliers.

To translate documents, proceed as follows:

• After signing in to Drooms, select the desired project (and data room in projects with multiple data rooms). Then select the ‘Documents’ tab in the project’s tab bar, if it is not already selected.
  
  
• A double left-click onto a document in the index on the left opens the document display for most common business file formats on the right.
  
  
• The bottom floating tool bar provides various functionalities to handle documents, among which is the option to translate the currently displayed document.
  
  
• Click on ‘Translations’ to activate the translation mode. Above the document a drop-down will allow you to select the desired target language, switch back and forth between original and translation (buttons ‘Show original’ vs. ’Show translated’), and ‘Cancel’ to close the translation mode.
  
  
  

• The translation tool supports real-time translations from the document’s detected source language to the selected target language. Detectable source and selectable target languages are English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, and Polish. Other source languages cannot be detected and cannot be selected as target langage.
