Below you will find a description of the Drooms home page.

  • Open web.drooms.com, or use a related URL provided to access and sign in to Drooms. Having done so successfully, the Drooms home page with a top bar and a project overview and selection will be shown.

The top bar provides general functionalities, which are independent from any individual data room project, from left to right:

  • A click on the logo in the top left corner will let you return to the Drooms home page at any time.

  • The first tab at the top right (icon bell) opens the notifications panel with all notifications about new documents, for example, or your own activities across all projects you have access to. This may help you to decide which project requires your attention, if you have access to several ones.

  • The second tab at the top right (icon message bubbles) opens the small Drooms Chat panel to the right.

If the Drooms Chat should not be available (the second tab on the top right as can be seen in above image is missing and only the Notifications tab is present, the reason can either be that you may have turned it off in your user settings in the User Details page, or that it has been disabled upon your company’s request. In the first case you can turn it on again, in the second case this will not be possible.

On the left, the vertical main navigation bar always provides access to following sections:

        3

  • The first drawer ‘Projects‘ at the top is selected by default after signing in to Drooms. It shows the project overview and selection with all projects you currently have access to.

    • By default, projects are displayed in tile view mode. Hover the mouse over a tile to see key information on that specific project. Depending on your role, you will be able to see:

      • project name
      • unique Drooms project ID
      • a specific icon icon to the right of the project name for Drooms LIFECYCLE projects with multiple assets/data rooms
      • your last visit to the project
      • role ‘owner’ or ‘administrator’ of a project, if applicable
      • usage for owners or administrators of a project with the number of assets (only for Drooms LIFECYCLE projects), number of users, and used storage space

Tiles may show a customer’s logo and an image to better distinguish a project from others you may have access to. In this case, the owner of a project used the Drooms ‘Branding’ feature.

    • To switch between tile view and list view:

      • In tile view, click onto ‘List view’ in the project overview’s tool bar for the list view.
      • In list view, click onto ‘Tile view’ in the project overview’s tool bar for the tile view.

    •  The project overview shows up to 15 project tiles or list entries per page. If you should have access to more than 15 projects, you can switch between pages at the bottom.

    • The project overview’s tool bar also offers a project search (useful, if you have access to many projects):

      • Enter either the project name or the unique project ID to filter the projects for the one you are looking for.
If you are a first-time Drooms user who has been invited as owner, administrator, or regular user to your first project, the project overview will display only this one project.
Please note, Drooms has been designed to handle access not just to one, but several, projects at a time. Some elements, like the Drooms home page, may therefore reveal their full purpose only once you have access to multiple projects.
    • To select a project and enter it, click onto the respective project tile or project list entry.

    • The tab ‘Contacts’ gives access to the contacts management.

         5

  • The third drawer ‘Help‘ (icon question mark) shows the Help section with tabs ‘Help’, ‘Support’, ‘Credits’, and ‘Feedback’:

    • The tab ‘Help’ offers guided online tours for using specific features and functionalities (‘Guided Tours’), links to our Drooms Help Centre KB (Knowledge Base) and its sub-sections, and feature announcements (‘What’s New).

    • The tab ‘Support’ offers a contact form, which we recommend to use in case of technical problems.

    • The tab ‘Credits’ contains the Drooms software license and copyright notes.

    • The tab ‘Feedback’ offers a message form to give us feedback of any kind.
