Editing Personal Notifications Settings
‘Index updates’ and ‘Q&A’ e-mail notifications keep administrators, regular users, and Q&A participants up-to-date about specific activities in data rooms when they are offline. The notifications are sent in case of added or deleted index items and documents, items pending approval by administrators, or questions and answers requiring action.
We recommend that one of the first things you do after having been invited to Drooms as such for the first time, as well as a specific Drooms project, is to edit your preferred notifications settings. otherwise the default settings will apply. Of course you can edit your personal notifications settings any time later on. too.
To edit your personal notifications settings, proceed as follows:
- Sign in to Drooms.

- Click on the second drawer in the vertical main navigation tool bar to open the user account settings panel, and select option ‘Notification settings’ to open the ‘Notifications settings’ page.

- On the right you can manage real-time notifications, e-mail notifications about index updates and pending questions and answers (if you have access to some Q&A), and for which projects you want to receive project-related notifications.
- Options for real-time notifications are:
- Drooms chat notifications for Drooms iOS app on mobile devices (enabled/disabled)
- Q&A notifications for Drooms iOS app on mobile devices (enabled/disabled)
- Sound notifications for new chat notifications in Drooms and Drooms iOS app (enabled/disabled)
- Options for e-mail notifications about index updates, Q&A, or new chat conversations are:
- Options for real-time notifications are:
- Never (when disabled)
- Immediately (every 15 minutes)
- 1x daily (every night)
- 1x weekly (every Monday night)
- At the bottom you can choose, if you want to receive e-mail notifications for all or only specific projects, in case you have access to multiple projects.
