Upgrading a Free Trial Data Room to Drooms FLEX
If you lately had or still have a free trial data room, and want to continue your data room project after the free trial expiration, retaining already created content like documents, index structure, user groups, permissions, and other data, proceed as follows:
- Either visit our website www.drooms.com to click on the link ‘FLEX account’ at the top right, sign in to the Drooms Shop with your Drooms credentials, and finally switch to the tab ‘Account’, or simply open in your browser the following page: shop.drooms.com/account and sign in.
- The account page lists all the data rooms you either own (Drooms free trial, Drooms FLEX), or are the designated main contact and first administrator of (Drooms custom projects).
- If you have more than one data room, look for the tile with your Drooms free trial data room that you want to upgrade to a Drooms FLEX data room. If you are new to Drooms, and the free trial data room is your first data room, there will only be one tile displayed.
- Click on ‘Upgrade to FLEX’. A modal dialog opens showing the basic Drooms FLEX subscription conditions. Click on ‘Upgrade now’ to add the Drooms FLEX data room to your shopping cart and then customise it with regards to required user licenses and features.
Please note that your free trial room comes with all available features, including the premium Q&A feature, but not Redaction. If you want to retain an already set-up Q&A, you have to add the Q&A premium feature, when upgrading to your free trial data room to a paid Drooms FLEX data room, otherwise your free trial Q&A set-up will be lost.
Not only running, but also already expired free trial data rooms can be upgraded to a Drooms FLEX data room up to four weeks after their expiration.
- When you are sure about the required user licenses and features, click on ‘Proceed to checkout’ to proceed to the check-out. If you had just signed up for a free trial data room so far, but not filled in you full account settings and data, yet, you will now be asked to enter company details, and also to set up a valid payment method.
- If your account is properly set up including a valid payment method, click on ‘Confirm and pay’. We will start the recurring monthly subscription at the specific designated monthly price, and if the first payment is successful, your free trial data room will be upgraded to a Drooms FLEX data room straight away.
If you have a free trial data room that you want to upgrade to a Drooms FLEX data room, always follow carefully the ‘Upgrade to FLEX’ procedure as described above. DO NOT simply order a separate Drooms FLEX data room, if any of your previous work or free trial data room structure and content should be retained.
