Viewing Documents
Together with the index, the Drooms document viewer is the core feature of Drooms data rooms.
- After signing in to Drooms, select the desired project (and data room in projects with multiple data rooms). Then select the ‘Documents’ tab in the project’s tab bar, if it is not already selected.
- A double left-click onto a document index point in the index on the left opens the document display for most common business file formats on the right, and the features described below.
- Documents are displayed and pages can be flipped in real-time, allowing for continuously browsing the data room documentation and viewing it directly in the data room.
Following file formats are processed for online display within the data room: standard .pdf, .png, .jpg, .tif, .tiff, .gif, .txt, .rtf, .xls, .xlsx, .doc., .docx, .ppt, .pptx, .ods, .odt, .odp, .htm, .html. Other file formats must be downloaded by the user to open them locally with the appropriate third-party software, permission provided.
- A Full Screen mode allows to use the full display, and a Split Screen mode allows to select and view a second document in parallel.
- On the right, the button Close display closes the document display, and the optional buttons Highlights & Notes, Q&A, Findings, Redaction, and AI Assistant show/hide panels for highlights and notes, questions and answers, findings, redacting, and exchange with the AI assistant concerning the document in view, if the respective feature and is available for the user in the project.
- The floating tool bar at the bottom provides from left to right a thumbnail preview allowing to navigate through the document, a document text search, and options to flip pages, zoom in/out, and translate, rotate, print, and save a document.
- A continuous up and down scroll allows seamless browsing of documents.
- A dynamic online watermark safeguards documents against unauthorised use.
