EXPO REAL 2026 in Munich is now behind us, and Drooms was once again right in the thick of it. From 5 to 7 October, decision-makers and innovation leaders came together at the real estate industry’s most important trade fair. For Drooms, the focus was on networking and open exchange. In many conversations, the team shared fresh ideas on AI and the digitalisation of the real estate world, and discussed with clients and partners where the industry is heading.
Event-Highlights
- Drooms x Schottenhamel Oktoberfest: As the traditional kick-off to the fair, this exclusive pre-event on 4 October brought clients and partners together in a relaxed atmosphere. More than 40 guests enjoyed Bavarian specialities and took the opportunity to connect before the fair began.
- Käfer am See Lunch: On 6 October, Drooms hosted a networking lunch. The focus was on closer exchange and strengthening long-term international partnerships, making it an ideal setting to discuss industry trends and develop new business approaches.
- Kehr Aus at EXPO REAL: On the final day of the fair, our “Kehr Aus” event offered a relaxed way to wind down. Freshly tapped beer and grilled bratwurst set the scene for casual conversations with colleagues and new contacts before visitors headed home.

Real estate investments: between market, off-market and AI
Artificial intelligence has arrived in the real estate industry. Whether it is used in transactions is no longer the question, but whether its use can support investment decisions. The panel with Stefan Kucera (Kucera) and Marcelo Cajias (Patrizia) examined specialised applications of AI in real estate. The discussion covered what the current state of the art can do, what it still lacks and how best to manage its use. The panel was moderated by Sonja Seubert (PB3C).
