London, 19 June 2019: Drooms, a provider of secure cloud solutions in Europe, is expanding its expertise in the fields of machine learning and natural language processing with the appointment of Johannes Leveling as machine learning team lead. Leveling will report to Peter Made, Head of Development at Drooms. Leveling has over two decades of professional experience in the fields of machine learning, machine translation, natural language processing and information retrieval in industry and research. In his previous role as Vice President Data Science and Machine Learning at Teckro, a software company that utilises machine learning to digitise clinical studies, he headed up a team of experts specialising in the development of mobile applications. Prior to this, he was Lead Data Scientist and Technical Research Director at Elsevier, a global information analytics business helping institutions advance healthcare, where he worked in the development of disruptive technologies to improve business processes.

With the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI), huge volumes of data can be quickly interpreted, filtered and archived. Algorithms can identify the logic users apply to store documents and replicate it autonomously. AI is particularly effective in improving the efficiency of asset portfolio transactions and document management.
Leveling graduated magna cum laude with a BA degree in IT studies from the University of Hagen in Germany. To-date, he has published more than 100 research articles on various aspects of IT.
