The Software-Initiative Deutschland e.V. (SID; www.softwareinitiative.de) has presented Drooms with the 2014 Innovation Award in the “virtual data rooms” category. These data rooms are traditionally used to process business-critical transactions such as commercial real estate sales, mergers and acquisitions, and IPOs. These highly sensitive business processes often involve many due diligence experts simultaneously examining thousands of documents in great detail. The SID panel concluded that with these very large volumes of data, the processing speed at which a software solution operates is a key factor for ensuring the success of the entire transaction. In offering their congratulations, the SID panel said, “We found the process-oriented approach in the development of Drooms’ software to be particularly impressive.”
The managing director of Drooms, Jan Hoffmeister, was delighted about receiving the award. “We are proud to have made such a positive impression on the panel with our virtual data rooms. Our objective is that Drooms software enables business-critical transactions to be carried out in an efficient manner, all the while offering maximum security. The award symbolises an important confirmation for us that we are on the right path.”
The future continues to look bright for Drooms, with all the signs pointing to further growth due to the increasing demand for secure cloud solutions thta enable companies to exchange confidential information securely. The Frankfurt-based company has posted strong growth figures in the past few years.
According to the SID panel, the decisive factor in the decision to present the award to Drooms was its Instant Access Technology, which is the umbrella term for all features in its portfolio that together significantly accelerate work processes.
