We’re making some improvements to the navigation in the Data Room to help you find things faster and get around more easily. The new design is cleaner and simpler, whether you’re working on a small project or managing a large portfolio.
Before and After
To make things clearer, here’s a quick look at the changes:
- Previously, the project-related navigation appeared on the left side of the page. Now, it’s moved to the top, right under the main navigation bar.
- The general account navigation has also been rearranged to a more intuitive layout.
Old navigation
New navigation

On the old navigation, the project-related navigation was on the left side.
Now you can find the project-related navigation right under the main navigation.
Key changes
General navigation
The top bar and left panel are home to the general access buttons:
- The top bar now includes Chat, Notifications, and Downloads, where you can quickly see if you have new updates in each section.
- The left panel gives you easy access to the Projects page, Help, and Account settings.

Project-related navigation
The project-related navigation has been moved to the top of the page, right below the general navigation. This means you can easily switch between different parts of your project or data room:
- You’ll see the parent portfolio (if applicable, the name of the current data room and the project ID.
- You can easily jump between sections like the Index page, Reports, Users, Q&A, Findings, and Project settings.

What’s coming next?
This is just the start. Over the next few months, we’ll continue making these design updates across all pages, so everything looks and works in the same simple and clean way.
