As this year comes to a close, we look at some of our most popular updates over the last 12 months that have truly made the difference to the workflows of our users! We also share our outlook for Q1 2021.
January
- Drooms LIFECYCLE: Tile view and direct asset access
When selecting a portfolio, all assets are shown as tiles, including images. If users hover over a tile, more details and a button to view the asset’s exposé are revealed. In addition, asset data rooms can now be accessed directly by simply clicking on a tile.
- Drooms LIFECYCLE: Newly designed exposé display
Asset exposés and related information e.g. titles, level of transaction readiness, images and descriptions, are now shown in a separate window. This window features an edit mode for administrators, allowing them to upload images directly without fuss.
- Drooms LIFECYCLE: Batch report generation
The index, processing and permissions reports can now be created across asset data rooms, unlike previously when they had to be created for each asset in every single data room separately. Now such reports can be created in batch for any, or a selection of, assets at portfolio level.
April
- Drooms LIFECYCLE: document search and asset search
It is now possible to further fast track the searching, finding and management of documentation (like all land registry certificates) and folders across assets and search for specific assets pertaining to a portfolio.
- Index search
It is now possible to just search the index descriptions for matching terms and exclude the contents of documents within a given data room. Users simply need to select the additional new search filter ‘Descriptions only’ and execute a text search.
June
- New Drooms online shop
Drooms’ online shop offering has now changed to a more flexible business model with individually upgradable features, so that users can select exactly what they need quickly and easily.
September
- New document translation
Drooms document translation with built in artificial intelligence has been further enhanced. The quality of translations now competes with other widely used translation engines.
October
- Excel viewer
The Excel viewer feature, an alternative to the regular document viewer, can be activated upon request and enabled per data room. When switched on, Excel sheets can be viewed and read directly in detail. Gone are the days of needing to worry about pre-set printing areas. The feature also allows the viewing of formulas, as well as the possibility to navigate between different sheets of an Excel file.
November
- Dutch translation
In addition to French, German, Italian and Spanish, it is now possible for users to translate documents in real time from English and back in Dutch without ever having to leave their data room.
- Drooms LIFECYCLE: favourites
The portfolio favourites feature allows users to to designate certain assets in a portfolio as ‘favourites’ which are displayed and accessible via the portfolio home page. The overview with all the data room tiles can also be collapsed.
December
- Auto naming
Users can automate the naming of files scanned and uploaded to their data room by simply choosing the naming convention that fits their needs and selecting the associated template.
- Document translation 2.0
The translation feature displays text in the same layout as the original document. The clear overlay of information streamlines the reading of documentation which can be compared to its original anytime using a toggle button.
