- Independent private equity firm B & Capital has held the first closing of its RB Capital France 1 fund with the aim of raising EUR 200 million.
- Drooms, the secure data room platform, was used throughout the fundraising campaign to ensure the secure exchange of marketing documentation.
London – Drooms, the European leader in secure cloud solutions for the exchange of confidential documents, supported B & Capital with its data room solution during the launch of the RB Capital France 1 fund marketing campaign.
B & Capital’s objective with this fund is to provide support for 10 or more French SMEs as part of their rapid expansion and transformation strategies.; The companies have valuations in the range of EUR 20-100 million and are involved in sectors with particularly promising prospects including: healthcare, distribution, technology, specialist industries and the environment.
The companies supported by B & Capital will also benefit from the sector expertise of B & Capital’s partner, European strategic consultancy Roland Berger.
Founded in 2016, the small and mid-cap private equity specialist B & Capital called on Drooms back in January 2017 to help it through the initial stages of launching its first fund. This involved gathering key fundraising documents and making them available to a number of prospective investors in France and abroad.

Having secured commitments to invest in the fund amounting to EUR 90 million within the space of just 12 months, the team managing the RB Capital France 1 fund will now continue to develop the fund with the aim of reaching the EUR 200 million mark this year. The partnership established between B & Capital and Drooms means that strategic information will continue to be exchanged via the permanent data room solution Drooms NXG which was initially installed.
